The Summer Palace, located in Beijing, China, is a famous classical garden. It features Longevity Hill, which is 60 meters high, and the man-made Kunming Lake, covering 2.2 square kilometers. The entire park spans 2.9 square kilometers, three-quarters of which is water. The palace contains various palaces, gardens, and classical-style architectural structures.

In December 1998, UNESCO listed the Summer Palace as a World Heritage site, calling it “a masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design.” It combines natural hills and water with pavilions, halls, palaces, temples, and bridges, forming a harmonious ensemble of outstanding aesthetic value.

Today, it is a popular tourist destination and a recreational park.

Tiananmen Square is located in the heart of Beijing and is the largest public square in the world, measuring 440,000 ’square meters. It is surrounded by important landmarks such as the Forbidden City. Great Hall of the People, and the National Museum of China. One of the most iconic features of Tiananmen Square is the Monument to the People’s Heroes, which stands in the center of the square. The monument was built to commemorate the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the Chinese people and their country. It is made of granite and stands 38 meters tall.

Another famous landmark in Tiananmen Square is the Gate of Heavenly Peace, also known as Tiananmen Gate. This gate leads to the Forbidden City and has been the site of many important events in Chinese history, including the proclamation of the People’s Republic of China in 1949. Every morning, the flag-raising ceremony takes place at Tiananmen Square. Many people come to watch the soldiers raise the flag. It is a very important ceremony.

The Temple of Heaven is located in southern Beijing, which is a beautiful and historic landmark in Beijing. It is the largest and best-preserved architectural complex for sacrifice in China.

The Temple of Heaven was originally built as a place for emperors to offer sacrifices to the gods and pray for a good harvest. The building has its own unique architectural style and significance. Ancient Chinese believed that Earth was Square and heaven was round. The altars and palaces were built into circles to represent heaven. The southern wall was rectangular to represent Earth.

Visiting the Temple of Heaven is not only a great way to learn about Chinese history and culture but also a great opportunity to witness the beautiful architecture znd intricate details of the buildings.

The Palace Museum, also known as the Forbidden City, is a famous historical site in Beijing, China.

 Built during the Ming dynasty, it served as the imperial palace for over 500 years. One of the most striking features of the Palace Museum is its stunning architecture. The buildings are made of wood and adorned with intricate carvings, golden tiles, and vibrant red walls. This combination creates a visually captivating place. Inside, you can explore numerous halls, courtyards, and gardens. Each area has its own unique history and purpose, reflecting the harmony and balance valued in traditional Chinese culture.

Visiting the Palace Museum is like taking a journey back in time to learn about China’s rich heritage.

Performances originally scheduled for the night tour will be moved to daytime as follows:

Both performances will take place at the Cable Car Downhill Station Platform and are suspended every Tuesday.
